Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 June 2026

Family2Gather (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a personal project operated by Róbert Kovács. This policy explains what personal data the app collects, why, and the rights you have over it. Questions: contact@family2gather.hu.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is Róbert Kovács (Family2Gather), Hungary. Contact: contact@family2gather.hu.

2. What data we collect

We do not collect your location or contacts, use advertising identifiers, or build analytics/tracking profiles. The app contains no ads and no third-party trackers.

3. Why we use it (legal bases)

4. Who we share it with

Your list and group content is visible to the people you invite or share with — that is the purpose of the app. Beyond that, we rely on these processors:

Data may be processed on servers outside the EEA (e.g. the United States) under appropriate safeguards. We never sell your data.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile and the content only you can access are permanently deleted; content you share with others is handed over to another member so their copy remains. You can delete your account at any time:

Some data may persist briefly in encrypted backups before being overwritten.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy (portability) of your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time — email contact@family2gather.hu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority; in Hungary this is the NAIH (naih.hu).

7. Children

Family2Gather is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your lists is enforced by server-side security rules, so only members can read or change them.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the app’s data practices change, and revise the “last updated” date above.
